How to Generate an FPPC Contribution Worksheet

Pulsar can produce a Form 460 contribution worksheet from your recorded donations. It's a CSV to review with your treasurer while you prepare your Form 460. It is not a completed Form 460. Pulsar does not e-file or submit reports for you.

What You'll Need

• FPPC settings configured (see Setting Up FPPC Information)

• Donations entered for the reporting period

• Campaign Manager or Treasurer permissions

Report Types

Pulsar produces one FPPC worksheet:

• Form 460 contribution worksheet - Recorded monetary contributions for the period, each contributor's calendar-year total, and whether that total reaches $100

It doesn't cover expenses, cash balances, loans, in-kind contributions, refunds or Form 497 late contribution reports. Prepare those separately with your treasurer.

Downloading the Form 460 Worksheet

Open the Compliance Timeline

Go to Compliance. The Timeline tab lists your filings and their periods.

Find the Form 460 Filing

Find the Form 460 filing for the period you're preparing. Each worksheet covers one calendar year, so split a period that crosses a year end into two.

Check Data Quality

Review any data quality warnings. Common issues include:

• Missing donor occupation/employer for contributions over $100

• Incomplete addresses

• Missing payment methods

Review and resolve data quality warnings before generating your report

Download the Worksheet

Click the download button on the filing. Pulsar saves a CSV worksheet that lists each monetary contribution with the contributor's name, address, employer, occupation, amount, and calendar-year total. Dates use UTC.

Review with Your Treasurer

Reconcile the worksheet against your bank records and other sources, then prepare and file your Form 460 through the FPPC's filing systems.

Important

The worksheet is a starting point for review, not a filing. The campaign and its treasurer are responsible for the accuracy of what is filed.

Electronic Filing

Pulsar doesn't produce CAL-format files and doesn't file with the FPPC or the Secretary of State. File your statement through the state's filing systems or your filing vendor.

Late Contribution Reporting (Form 497)

Contributions of $1,000 or more received in the 90 days before an election require a Form 497 within 24 hours. Pulsar doesn't prepare Form 497; watch for large contributions near the election and file those reports yourself.

Troubleshooting

Worksheet won't generate? Check that the filing is a Form 460 and that its period falls within one calendar year. If Pulsar asks for a review, the message explains what to change.

Totals don't match? Verify that all donations are correctly categorized and dated within the reporting period.

Contribution missing from the worksheet? The worksheet includes completed monetary contributions in US dollars only. Check the donation's status and type.
