How to Remove Team Members

When team members leave your campaign or no longer need access, you can remove them from Pulsar. This guide covers the removal process and what happens to their data.

Access the removal option from the team member's action menu

What You'll Need

• Admin or Campaign Manager permissions

• You cannot remove yourself or users with higher permissions

Removing a Team Member

Navigate to Team

Go to Settings → Team.

Find the Team Member

Locate the person you want to remove in the Active members list.

Open Member Menu

Click the menu (⋮) on their row.

Select Remove

Click Remove from Campaign.

Confirm Removal

Review the confirmation dialog and click Remove to confirm.

Confirm the removal — access is revoked immediately

Important

Removal is immediate. The person will lose access to your campaign as soon as you confirm. Make sure you have another Admin if you're removing the only other Admin.

What Happens When Someone is Removed

Access

• They immediately lose access to your campaign

• They can no longer view campaign data

• Any active sessions are terminated

• Their Pulsar account remains active for other campaigns

Data

• Their activity history is preserved in audit logs

• Contacts they created remain in the system

• Notes and interactions they logged are retained

• Their name appears in historical records

Assignments

• Shift signups are marked as "removed user"

• Assigned tasks may need reassignment

• Walk list assignments become unassigned

Removal Restrictions

You cannot remove:

• Yourself - You can't remove your own access

• The campaign owner - Only through ownership transfer

• Users with higher permissions - Campaign Managers can't remove Admins

• The last Admin - At least one Admin must remain

Re-Adding Removed Members

If you need to restore someone's access:

Send New Invitation

Simply invite them again using their email address.

They Accept

Since they already have an account, they'll be immediately added when they accept.

Pro Tip

For temporary access changes, consider changing their role to Viewer instead of removing them entirely. This preserves their access for when they need to return.

Removing Multiple Members

Select Members

Check the boxes next to multiple team members.

Bulk Remove

Click Bulk Actions → Remove Selected.

Confirm

Review the list and confirm removal of all selected members.
