Stripe Payment Integration

Kyndara, our fundraising product, uses Stripe Connect to accept online donations. Donations flow into your Pulsar fundraising records.

Rolling out

Online donation pages through Kyndara, our fundraising product built on Stripe Connect, are still rolling out and can't take donations yet. You can prepare your Stripe account now. To bring in online donations today, use the ActBlue import (by webhook or CSV).

What You'll Need

• Admin permissions in Pulsar

• A Stripe account (free to create)

• Your campaign's bank account information

Creating a Stripe Account

If you don't have a Stripe account:

Visit Stripe

Go to stripe.com and click Start now.

Create Account

Enter your email, create a password, and verify your email.

Complete Business Profile

Fill in your campaign committee information as your "business" details.

Add Bank Account

Connect your campaign bank account for receiving transfers.

Connecting Stripe to Pulsar

Open Kyndara

Sign in to Kyndara (kyndara.org) with your Pulsar account. Stripe is connected from Kyndara's onboarding or its dashboard settings.

Connect your Stripe account from Kyndara

Start Stripe Connect

Click the button to connect your Stripe account.

Authorize Connection

You'll be redirected to Stripe. Log in and authorize Pulsar to access your account.

Confirm Connection

You'll be returned to Kyndara with your Stripe account connected.

How Donations Work

• Donor visits your donation page

• They enter their payment information

• Stripe securely processes the payment

• Donation appears in your Fundraising dashboard

• Donor information is captured for compliance

• Funds transfer to your bank account (typically 2 business days)

Transaction Fees

Stripe charges its standard payment processing fees, published at stripe.com/pricing. Kyndara also charges a platform fee. Check the current fees in Kyndara before you launch a donation page.

Pro Tip

Consider offering an option for donors to cover the transaction fee, which many donors appreciate.

Compliance Integration

Donations via Kyndara:

• Capture donor information needed for reporting

• Count toward each donor's totals in Pulsar

• Appear in your FPPC and FEC contribution worksheets

• Generate donation receipts
