Pulsar for ballot measure campaigns
Pulsar gives a ballot measure committee one place for voter data, contacts, email, volunteers and a plan, with a goal built around signatures and then Yes votes.
Who this fits
- Committees qualifying and passing a statewide or local measure.
- Coalitions running a Yes or No campaign.
- Issue groups that back a measure alongside other work.
Works today
- Set up as a ballot measure committee: Choose ballot measure committee at setup and record your state committee ID.
- Goals from signatures to a Yes majority: Your headline goal is Yes votes to win: signatures to qualify, then the majority to pass.
- Voter data, contacts and email: Paid plans include voter data in California, North Carolina and Ohio, contact import and email.
- Volunteer events and shifts: Post events and shifts on ActionGrid. Volunteers sign up there with their own free account.
Rolling out
- Canvassing, texting and phone banking: Walk lists, texting and browser phone banking.
Not live yet
- Pulsar does not validate petition signatures.
- Pulsar stores your state committee ID but does not look it up in state records yet.
Which plan
A city or district measure usually fits Grassroots or Momentum. A statewide measure needs statewide voter data, which starts on Movement.
