How to Use Date Range Filters
Date range filters let you focus your dashboard on specific time periods. Compare this week to last week, this month to last month, or any custom range.

Selecting a Date Range
Open the Date Picker
Click the date range selector in the top-right corner of your dashboard. It shows your current selection (e.g., "Last 7 Days").
Choose a Preset Range
Quick options include:
• Today - Current day only
• Yesterday - Previous day
• Last 7 Days - Past week
• Last 30 Days - Past month
• This Month - Current calendar month
• Last Month - Previous calendar month
• This Quarter - Current quarter
• Year to Date - January 1 to today
• All Time - Entire campaign history
Set a Custom Range
Click Custom to select specific start and end dates:
• Click the start date on the calendar
• Click the end date
• Click Apply to update the dashboard
Keyboard Shortcut
Press D to quickly open the date picker from anywhere on the dashboard.
Comparison Mode
Compare your selected range against a previous period:
Enable Comparison
Toggle Compare to Previous Period in the date picker.
View Comparison Data
Each metric card now shows:
• Current period value
• Previous period value
• Change percentage (green for increase, red for decrease)

Best Practices
Weekly Reviews
Use "Last 7 Days" with comparison enabled for weekly team meetings. This shows week-over-week momentum.
Monthly Reports
Use "Last 30 Days" or "This Month" for monthly stakeholder updates. More stable than daily fluctuations.
Campaign Phases
Use custom ranges to analyze specific phases:
• Pre-announcement vs. post-announcement
• Before and after major events
• Early voting period vs. election day push
Data Freshness
Dashboard data updates every 15 minutes. For real-time numbers during high-activity periods, click the refresh button.
